🌐 About the Software

DIACOM-NLS-SINERGUS (SINERGUS) is a legacy specialized software product developed by DIACOM Technology on the basis of the earlier DIACOM-NLS-NEXUS system.

The program was created in response to numerous requests from users who wished to retain the familiar interface and functional capabilities of NEXUS while moving to more modern versions of the Windows operating system.

The main objective of developing SINERGUS was to adapt the older software to a new technological environment, modernize the data storage system, and ensure compatibility with an updated information database.

At the same time, the program retained the DIACOM-NLS-NEXUS user interface almost unchanged, preserving the working environment familiar to users of previous-generation DIACOM software.

SINERGUS represents a transitional software solution between the historical architecture of DIACOM-NLS-NEXUS and the company's more modern software systems.

Today, DIACOM-NLS-SINERGUS is classified as legacy software. Active development has ended, new features are not planned, and further modernization is considered technically and economically unjustified.

The software remains available exclusively as a temporary solution for users who continue to work with the previous generation of DIACOM products.

🕰️ 1. Development History and Reasons for Modernization

The original versions of DIACOM-NLS software, including DIACOM-NLS-NEXUS, were developed using previous-generation software technologies and database management systems.

In particular, they relied on solutions associated with the Borland development environment and the dBase database system.

Over time, the discontinuation of support for these software components caused problems with compatibility, operational stability, and long-term data preservation.

As a result, it became necessary to make fundamental changes not only to individual software components but also to the entire database interaction system.

The DIACOM development team decided to adapt the software to a more modern technological architecture while preserving its familiar appearance.

This led to the creation of DIACOM-NLS-SINERGUS.

Main modernization objectives:

Preserve the familiar DIACOM-NLS-NEXUS interface.

Adapt the software to more modern versions of Windows.

Replace outdated data storage technology.

Migrate the information database to a new environment.

Improve compatibility between software components.

Retain the main analytical capabilities of the previous generation.

Therefore, SINERGUS was originally developed not as a fundamentally new analytical system, but as a technologically adapted continuation of DIACOM-NLS-NEXUS.

🗄️ 2. Transition to a New Database Management System

One of the most significant changes in the SINERGUS architecture was the transition from outdated data storage solutions to Microsoft SQL Server (MSSQL).

This transition became necessary because support for the previous server technology had been discontinued and its use with continuously updated Windows operating systems was becoming increasingly restricted.

The adoption of MSSQL made it possible to organize data storage and processing in a more modern environment.

Main areas of change:

Replacement of the previous dBase database architecture.

Migration of existing information resources.

Implementation of Microsoft SQL Server.

Modification of database access mechanisms.

Introduction of new database query and information-processing methods.

Adaptation of software components to the new storage system.

During modernization, the information database was also expanded. At the time SINERGUS was developed, its size was approximately 540 MB.

This figure refers to a historical configuration and does not describe every subsequent installation.

The transition to MSSQL was an important technological step. However, it did not eliminate the fundamental limitations of the outdated software concept and user interface inherited from DIACOM-NLS-NEXUS.

🔬 3. Information-Frequency Analysis

Like its predecessor, DIACOM-NLS-NEXUS, SINERGUS was designed to perform information-frequency investigations using compatible DIACOM equipment.

The program is based on a methodology that mathematically compares the characteristics under investigation with information models stored in its database.

In the original DIACOM concept, the software was also intended to assess characteristics of the human electromagnetic field and investigate their presumed relationships with external factors.

Main capabilities:

Acquisition and processing of data using compatible equipment.

Analysis of information-frequency characteristics.

Comparison of results with digital reference models.

Presentation of calculated indicators.

Work with selected objects and areas of investigation.

Comparative analysis of information models.

The resulting indicators represent calculations within the DIACOM methodology and are not independent measurements of a person's health status.

🧬 4. Digital Reference Models and Comparative Analysis

SINERGUS uses a specialized information database containing digital models and reference patterns from various categories.

The system allows users to select groups of reference models and perform mathematical comparisons with investigation results.

Depending on the installed database, the following categories may be available:

🦠 Microorganisms and biological factors.

🌿 Plant substances and natural components.

🧪 Chemical compounds.

💊 Preparations and informational product models.

🌍 Environmental factors.

🧬 Other digital reference models included in the database.

Comparative analysis capabilities:

Selecting individual reference categories.

Comparing indicators with digital models.

Sorting and filtering results.

Working with calculated correspondence coefficients.

Graphical representation of informational characteristics.

Using additional analytical tools provided by the software.

An informational correspondence does not confirm the actual presence of the corresponding substance or microorganism in the object under investigation.

🧠 5. Mathematical Models and Visual Analysis

SINERGUS uses virtual mathematical models to graphically represent the results of information-frequency analysis.

Users can work with virtual representations of anatomical structures and review calculated indicators through visual symbols.

Visualization capabilities:

🧠 Displaying anatomical models.

🔎 Selecting objects of interest.

📊 Presenting calculated indicators.

🎨 Using graphical markers and color symbols.

📈 Viewing frequency graphs.

🧩 Comparing visual data with informational reference models.

The interpretation of these data belongs to specialized DIACOM procedures and requires appropriate training.

Virtual models are software visualization tools and do not replace objective methods of medical diagnosis.

🖥️ 6. Classic DIACOM-NLS-NEXUS Interface

One of the most recognizable characteristics of SINERGUS is its preservation of the original DIACOM-NLS-NEXUS interface concept.

The arrangement of controls, organization of user records, presentation of anatomical models, and structure of analytical windows remained practically unchanged.

This allowed experienced users of the previous version to continue working without having to learn an entirely new interface.

Characteristic features:

Classic DIACOM-NLS graphical environment.

Familiar arrangement of main controls.

Windows displaying information models and digital references.

Lists of results and analytical indicators.

Virtual representations of anatomical structures.

Traditional investigation control panels.

Preservation of the workflow logic of earlier software generations.

The original DIACOM-NLS-NEXUS system was developed for a user interface resolution of 1024 × 768 pixels.

Modernization of the development environment introduced opportunities for more flexible adaptation of software windows to computer screen resolutions. Nevertheless, the overall visual appearance of SINERGUS remained characteristic of previous-generation software.

Today, preservation of the old interface is a historical feature rather than an advantage for future development.

📂 7. Electronic Records and Investigation History

SINERGUS supports electronic user records and the results of previously performed investigations.

This functionality makes it possible to store and organize information records within the software system.

Main functions:

Creating electronic records.

Selecting previously saved entries.

Organizing investigation results.

Reviewing the history of completed operations.

Reopening stored data.

Working with individual investigation objects.

Comparing available results.

The exact range of functions depends on the software version and database configuration.

Stored information is managed through an outdated software architecture. Consequently, data migration and preservation require special attention when moving to newer systems.

⚙️ 8. Additional Analytical Tools

The SINERGUS interface contains various tools inherited from earlier DIACOM-NLS programs.

Depending on the version and configuration, the following functions may be available.

🔹 NLS Analysis

A tool for analyzing informational indicators within the DIACOM methodology.

🔹 Analysis+

An additional mode for data processing and comparison.
